VIN#: 5581479

This is a very Rare 1937 DeSoto 2 door Business Coupe.
Nice and presentable, it is silver in color with nice rims.
The paint is decent but has some peeling in the door jambs.
There are some cracks and chips.
The trim is nice and the car is straight and basically complete.
It is an older restoration, the doors close very well.
The car has a flathead 6 cylinder motor with a 3 speed shifter on the column and OverDrive.
While the engine turns over it has some stuck valves.
The interior is brown Mohair that appears to be older restoration, original flooring, the seats are in decent condition with some wear and marks.
There is no radio but it has a clock.
It has a heater, the glass is decent. And overall the car is solid with very little rust seen.
The odometer reads 98,461 miles.
This is a very nice car and would be a great addition to any collection.

The Lusty Lady, a Downtown Seattle peepshow in an increasingly upscale neighborhood is closing its doors in a couple of months. And they say that sex sells. While it seems that the radically altered demographics of the neighborhood were a greater factor than the overall economy, it's a safe bet that the Lady's clientèle likely had other uses for their quarters.

Selling Artesia

A few nice business for sale images I found:

Selling Artesia
business for sale
This must have been quite the spot at the time. I believe it sits on 2.4 acres. There was not much left- other than a couple buildings - see my prior post- and a water tower.
I also can't find very much online. It was built in the 1940's is about all I can come up with.

I'm not happy about this shot- because that for sale banner really bugs me- but it looked too wierd if I cropped it.

Miami Dead, But Guarded
business for sale
The three businesses on the left are all for sale or rent. The owner of the functioning machine shop on the right has barricaded and reinforced his business against the adverse circumstances of the town. This is smack dab in the middle of Miami, Arizona.
